The biggest name on this list is none other than the two-time Ballon d’Or winner. At 32, the Barcelona captain’s future remains uncertain as her contract nears expiration. The player from Mollet has been outstanding for the second consecutive season following her recovery from an ACL injury, approaching the numbers she posted during her first Ballon d’Or campaign. She has scored 20 goals and provided 12 assists, with fans eagerly awaiting her decision.

Muchas pruebas y pocas dudas.

Few doubts remain about this top-tier full-back. Considered one of the best in the world—if not the best—due to her attacking instincts, technical quality, defensive intensity, and ability to excel on either flank. The 26-year-old Catalan’s contract with Barcelona expires soon, and according to Sport’s January report, her talks with Arsenal have advanced significantly.

The Norwegian winger, a key figure for the dominant Barcelona since arriving in 2019, also sees her contract come to an end. However, she has revealed that an agreement is in place, with only the formal signing of an extension—reportedly through 2028—remaining. At 31, she has notched 13 goals and 15 assists this season.

Another major unresolved situation for the champions is that of the Aragonese center-back. At 30, she appears to be heading for the exit after nine seasons at Barcelona, as reported by Rut Vilar. Sport added that Mapi’s likely destination is London City Lionesses, a newly promoted top-tier club, meaning she will no longer play in the Champions League. Still, she can leave with an impressive trophy haul from her time as a Culé.

While the Liga F champions will face painful departures, the runner-up—currently second in the standings and eternal rival—will also experience significant losses. Undoubtedly, losing their captain for the third consecutive year (following Ivana Andrés in 2024 and Olga Carmona in 2025) will be tough. Misa is one of only two players who have been with Real Madrid since its founding, and her passionate Madridismo has been evident over these six years. The other is Teresa, another Real Madrid player whose contract expires, and she will also leave Valdebebas.

Like Misa, Weir is the player with the most appearances for Real Madrid and the club’s all-time top scorer. She also concludes her contract and is playing her final matches in the white jersey. The Scot arrived in Valdebebas in 2022 and made an immediate impact: 28 goals and 17 assists. However, early in the 2023-24 season, she suffered an ACL injury while on international duty and struggled through 2024-25. This season, she has once again been the link between midfield and attack, but her future lies away from Madrid.

One of the Athletic Club captains, the Biscayan left-back is one of the most intriguing defensive options on the market, if not the most. Trained at Lezama, she has grown in leadership and defensive ability, now ranking among the best in her position. She has always stood out offensively, and this season she has been even more prolific: four goals (three against Atlético, Barcelona, and Real Madrid) and one assist. At 25, her best form is still ahead, so it’s no surprise she is attracting interest from England, Italy, France, and Spain.
