“We don’t let emotions guide us. It was a calculated decision — we had planned when and which changes to make. Some were pre-planned, others emerged during the match. I saw no point in acting sooner because we played well in the first half, creating approaches and chances. Yes, we were not prepared for the opponent’s rapid counterattack and conceded a goal. But in the end, the substitutions allowed us to snatch the victory, so I believe we handled it correctly,” Igdisamov said, as quoted by CSKA’s official website.
CSKA currently sits fifth in the Russian league table with 48 points from 29 games. Pari NN occupies 15th place in the RPL standings, in the direct relegation zone, trailing the relegation play-off spot by three points.
