Manchester United midfielder and former Real Madrid star Casemiro has shared his thoughts on the best players he has ever played with. While he considers Cristiano Ronaldo the greatest, he believes Gareth Bale was the most complete all-round player.
The 34-year-old Brazilian spent nine glittering years at Real Madrid, winning five Champions League titles, before moving to Old Trafford in 2022. Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s podcast, Casemiro said: “Ronaldo guarantees at least 15 goals a season, but Bale could attack, defend, was strong in the air, and scored goals himself. Ronaldo is undoubtedly the best – he’s on another level. But apart from him, for me, Bale was the best and most complete player.”
Casemiro heaped praise on the Welsh legend: “Everything he did was fantastic. Incredibly fast, incredibly strong. For me, Bale was amazing.”
During his time at Real Madrid, Casemiro played alongside numerous stars and collected a staggering haul of trophies: three Club World Cups, three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, three Spanish Super Cups, and three European Super Cups. At Manchester United, he won the FA Cup and the League Cup. He also represented Brazil in two World Cups. Coincidentally, Casemiro’s tenure at Real Madrid ran from 2013 to 2022, the same period as Bale’s.
